The actor is set to star in his first official rom-com, initially titled The Bodyguard. The project was announced in September 2025, but it has just undergone a major change. Considering Kevin Costner’s iconic 34-year-old movie The Bodyguard, Padalecki’s Netflix movie changed its title to Guarding Stars.
