Kevin Costner’s new TV series could be Prime Video’s Yellowstone
Yellowstone fans might have found themselves a replacement in the form of a new Amazon Prime series.
The show, which is executive-produced by John Dutton actor Kevin Costner, debuted on the platform last month and is quickly drawing interest from viewers looking for a new binge series based on real American history.
Set during the Civil War, The Gray House tells the real story of a secret spy network run by women during the heart of the Confederacy. It comes after a teaser for the upcoming Yellowstone spinoff, Dutton Ranch, left viewers with mixed feelings.

The Gray House sees Costner taking a production role, which is a stark contrast from his on-camera role in Yellowstone as John Dutton, a Montana rancher.
Even one Yellowstone viewer on X noticed Cosner’s production switch-up, writing, “Kevin Costner has officially found his Yellowstone replacement, The Gray House, an eight-part miniseries is now available to stream in full on Amazon Prime Video.”

The Gray House takes place in Richmond, Virginia, where socialite Elizabeth Van Lew, played by Daisy Head, organizes an underground intelligence operation that aided the Union Army.
She worked alongside her mother, Eliza, played by Mary-Louise Parker, and Mary Jane Richards, a formerly enslaved woman played by Amethyst Davis.
Elizabeth Van Lew’s real-life espionage ring story remains relatively unknown to many Americans, with the series aiming to bring overlooked history.
Traditional spy franchises often are built around figures like James Bond, but The Gray House shifts the focus on an overall story.
Executive producer Leslie Greif said the series was driven by her desire to highlight a part of the Civil War that many people know little about.
