Why NCIS Is Not Airing On Its Regular Timeslot Tonight (November 11) & When Season 23, Episode 5 Releases
Not long after it returned for the season, CBS is making a big change to NCIS season 23’s broadcasting schedule tonight, November 11, 2025. Unlike ABC and NBC, the most-watched traditional broadcaster started the 2025-2026 TV cycle a bit later than usual. This means that the majority of its shows are still in its first few episodes, including its premier cop franchise — NCIS. Now airing Tuesdays, CBS has reserved off its three-hour primetime block for the flagship, NCIS: Origins, and NCIS: Sydney.

After NCIS season 22’s slip in ratings, CBS appears to be determined to bring the show back to its glory days. Impressively, its current run has released only solid episodes thus far, as it’s able to balance compelling cases with great character arcs. In the biggest NCIS franchise, however, the quality of storytelling has also been great, with both NCIS: Origins season 2 and NCIS: Sydney season 3 elevating their narratives.Tonight, however, fans will have to keep an eye on some scheduling changes, especially for NCIS season 23, episode 5, “Now and Then”.
